Meals on Wheels OC is proud to partner with Innovative Housing Opportunities to provide supportive services to low-income and formerly homeless seniors residing in the El Verano Apartments, a new affordable housing community in Anaheim.
The program is aimed at helping individuals transition to healthy, independent living. Through our partnership, Meals on Wheels OC assists more than 30 residents over the age of 65 by providing nutritious meals, individual care plans, workshops, telehealth and wellness checks, and so much more.
The opening of the El Verano Apartments was a dream come true for residents moving into the complex. Many had lost hope for finding permanent housing, and some had been homeless for 8 years or longer.
Meals on Wheels OC looks forward to forming additional community partnerships and extending our services to assist more of those in need of support!
